First, I had a challenging time with this task. For the first time, I wanted to learn something extraordinary, so I chose Icelandic. However, I soon realized that there were problems with my plan. First of all, it is almost impossible to find a regular application for learning a language that does not cost anything. If I did find something free to use, I could only learn words without context. So after that, I switched to the French language and the Duolingo application.

Anybody can easily download the application to any smartphone. It is also easy to use and does not require special user knowledge. After we have chosen the language we want to learn, we can do a level assessment. Then, the application starts our education concerning the level of assessment results.

It develops grammar, vocabulary and even our listening comprehension. It makes the learning process more understandable with images related to the topic. In order to maintain motivation, we can achieve different achievements in the game.

Unfortunately, we also have to discuss the disadvantages, which consist of one main factor. Money moves the world. You have five lives in the game and will lose a life after every mistake. If you run out of five lives and don't have any extra in your tank to refill, you must wait 24 hours to start the challenges again with five lives. BUT! - you won't lose a single life if you pay for the premium version.
